Representative from Mitchell county, was born in that county April 17, 1878. Attended the rural schools and later the St. Ansgar seminary and institute. Graduated from the normal course in 1899. Married June 29, 1905. to Catherine Rone of Worth county, Iowa. Has one daughter, Constance. Appointed deputy county auditor of Mitchell county in 1903. Has served as secretary of school board, township assessor, director of the Osage Farmers Co-operative Grain and Supply company, secretary-treasurer, and is one of the incorporators of the Farmers Union Live Stock Commission of Chicago and South St. Paul. Is at present a member of the county Board of Education, and director of the Mitchell County Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance association. Has been actively engaged in farming since the spring of 1906. Served as representative from Mitchell county since 1921 with exception of 1925. A member of the Evangelical Lutheran church. A republican.
