Ruthven, Iowa. Representative from Palo Alto county, was born at Britt, Iowa, Hancock county, in 1896. Later moved to Pocahontas county and then to Palo Alto county where he now resides. Graduate of the Rolfe and Ruthven, Iowa, high schools and Coe College, and in 1923 Iowa State College at Ames. Served three years during and following the World War in the navy doing foreign duty, with the marine corps. Member of the American Legion-Masonic lodge and various other social and civic organizations. Served as a director in the Palo Alto county farm bureau for three years. At present engaged in dairy farming and stock feeding. Elected to the legislature November 6, 1928. Republican in politics.
