Representative from Mitchell county, was born in that county April 17, 1878. Attended the rural schools and later the St. Ansgar seminary and institute. Graduated from the normal course in 1899. Married June 29, 1905, to Catherine Rone of Worth county, Iowa. Has one daughter, Constance. Appointed deputy county auditor of Mitchell county in 1903. Has been actively engaged in farming since the spring of 1906. Served as representative from Mitchell county during the thirty-ninth, fortieth, fortieth extra and forty-second general assemblies. A member of the Evangelical Lutheran church. Re-elected representative in 1928.
