Representative from Greene county. Born on a farm in Greene county, Iowa, January 12, 1880. Of American parentage. He lived on this farm until 21 years of age. Attended the rural school. On January 30th, 1901, was married to Miss Sadie Downing. Continued farming until the present time. In 1911 was elected a member of the school board and in 1912 elected member of board of trustees, serving two terms. In 1920 was chosen president of the local shipping association, serving five years. In 1924, elected president of county farm bureau, serving two years. Republican in politics.
