Representative from Wayne county, was born on a farm in Clinton county, Iowa, May 1, 1870. Attended rural school and later attended high school at Olin, Jones county, Iowa. Entered the medical department of the State University in 1894. Was interned in the University hospital in 1895-1896. Received the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the State University of Iowa in 1897. Practiced medicine in Martelle, Iowa, for five years. Located in Allerton, Wayne county, Iowa, in 1901, where he has since been engaged in the practice of medicine, and banking. He is a member of the Masonic lodge, Modern Woodmen of America and has always been a republican in politics. Elected representative in 1924.
