Was married to Eustena Harges Heimer September 23, 1896. To this union were born two children, Wilbur and Elizabeth. He has held the office of township trustee for ten years, and is now school director and director in a bank. In partnership with his son, he owns and operates two hundred and twenty-one acres of land in Mahaska county. Dealer in pure bred Shorthorn cattle. A member of the Congregational church and superintendent of Sunday school in Eddyville. A director of the Mahaska County Farm Bureau since its organization. A republican in politics.
