Emmet County
Representative from Emmet county, was born in Honeycreek, Wis., August 23, 1888. Moved with his parents to LaPorte City, Iowa, in 1891, where he resided until March, 1904, when he moved, with his parents, to Estherville, Iowa. Attended Morningside college from 1909 to 1913. Began farming for self in Emmet county in 1914 and is now engaged in farming and pure bred stock business. Was married to Miss Edna Sarah Thorndyke, July 1, 1911. To them have been born two boys, Ernest and Vernon. He has been active in farm organizations and was president of the Emmet county farm bureau for three years. Is a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Estherville, in which he has been active in Sunday school and general church work. Elected representative in 1922. Republican in politics.
