Representative from Osceola county, was born in Lake county, Ind. He received his education in the parochial and public schools. Learned the carpenter trade and worked at it for a number of years. He has served as township clerk for twelve years and as secretary of the school board for twenty years. He was a member of the county board of supervisors for three terms and was elected twice chairman of the board and for two years he has been township assessor. He married Louisa Glade in 1892. He has been engaged in farming and stock raising ever since. He was elected representative in 1922. A life long republican.
