Received his education in the country schools; taught school four years; served as member of the board of supervisors six years. Served as mayor of the city of Albia eight years. Is married and has three children. His occupation is that of farmer and live stock dealer. Elected representative in 1920. Re-elected in 1922. A republican in politics.
