Born February 22, 1817, in Adams County, Ohio. Mr. Wright was a farmer. He served in the Civil War Company C, 36th Infantry service from May 17 through September 23, 1861. He was discharged May 19, 1863, due to disability. Mr. Wright was a Democrat in politics. He represented Lee County in the Fourth Iowa General Assembly, 1852. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wright died August 24, 1894 in College Springs, Iowa.
