Born May 12, 1826, in Ohio, to Henson Clark and Mary Jagger. Mr. Clark married Mary Myers and had six children. He was the first treasurer of the Town Council of Maquoketa. He served as a Senator in the fourth and fifth General Assemblies (1852-1856) from Jackson County. He was a democrat. He died Aug 26, 1916, in Rowley, Iowa.
