The select Committee who were appointed to report suitable resolutions on the occasion of the decease of Hon. Calvin J. Price, report:

WHEREAS: It has been announced to this House that since its adjournment in April, 1860, it has pleased the Creator of all things to remove by death the Hon. Calvin. J. Price, a member of this body from Lee County, who departed this life at his residence in West Point, Lee County, on the —— day of May, 1860: and,

WHEREAS: During the session of this House, when the deceased held his seat, and acted with us, he became endeared to us by his honorable deportment, his fidelity to duty, and his high appreciation and love for our institutions:

1. Therefore be it Resolved, That we deeply deplore his death.

2. That in the death of Mr. Price, the State has lost a worthy and valuable citizen and this House a useful, able and valuable member.

3. That we sincerely sympathize with the bereaved widow and family in the irreparable loss they have sustained.

4. That a copy of these resolutions and the remarks made by the Hon. T. W. Clagett, announcing his death, be forwarded to his widow and family by the Speaker.

5. That the members of this House will wear the usual badge of mourning during the present session.

The report was received and the resolutions unanimously adopted.
