Representative from Manning, Carroll county, Iowa, Fifty-fifth district, was born in Fountain county, Ind., August 12, 1872. He came with his parents to Keokuk county, Iowa, overland, in 1874. Received his education in the district and graded schools of Richland, Iowa. Worked on a farm until 1893, at which time he moved to Manning, Carroll county, where he engaged in the produce business in 1894, in which business he is still occupied. During his residence in Manning he has three times served as town councilman. On November 28, 1894 he was married to Angie L. Kenyon, to whom was born one daughter, Ola K.
