Representative from Guthrie county, was born in Guthrie county, Iowa, November 18, 1875, and grew to manhood on his father's farm. Graduated from the Guthrie County High School in 1895. Taught school two years and then entered the State University of Iowa. Graduated from the College of Liberal Arts in June, 1901, and from the College of Law the same year, and has practiced law since that time. Was elected county attorney in 1903, and re-elected in 1905. Was married to Leone Dewey of Guthrie Center, in 1907. Is a member of the Odd Fellows, Elks and Shriners, the State Historical Society, the State and American Bar Associations. Elected representative in 1914, re-elected in 1918. A republican in politics.
