Attended Cedar Valley Seminary at Osage, Iowa, four years, graduated law department, S. U. I. with class of 1901. Lived on farm until 1908; in 1904 was speaker's clerk in general assembly, Hon. Geo. W. Clark, speaker; clerk of courts for six years, practiced law eight years, including six years as county attorney. Lives at Osage, Iowa; married and has two children. Elected representative ninety-third district. Iowa, in 1918. Has always been a republican in politics.
