Representative from Mitchell county, was born March 19, 1875, at Conyers, Ga., but has lived in Mitchell county for forty years. Attended Cedar Valley Seminary at Osage, Iowa, four years, graduated law department, S. U. I. with class of 1901. Lived on farm until 1908; in 1904 was speaker's clerk in general assembly, Hon. Geo. W. Clark, speaker; clerk of courts for six years, practiced law eight years, including six years as county attorney. Lives at Osage, Iowa; married and has two children. Elected representative ninety-third district. Iowa, in 1918. Has always been a republican in politics.
