Representative from Clarke county, was born in Clarke county, Iowa, July 11, 1868. At the age of seven years he moved with his parents to Great Bend, Kansas, where he resided for twelve years. With this exception he has spent his entire life in Iowa. Has served as township clerk, township trustee and township assessor. Was actively engaged in farming until January 1, 1913, at which time he was elected county treasurer and served four years. Was married December 15, 1888 to Leona Lamb, and to them was born one child. Is a member of the Christian church. Was elected representative in 1916. A democrat in politics.
