Representative from Cedar county, was born in Millersburg, Iowa, November 11, 1860. With the exception of a residence, of seven years in Nebraska, has spent his entire life in the state of Iowa, having been engaged in the newspaper business in nine of its counties. At the present time is publisher of the Stanwood Herald. Has held no political office except that of postmaster at West Liberty under President Taft. Was elected representative in 1916 as a republican.
