Representative from Wayne county, was born in Woodford county, Illinois, August 23, 1867. His father, Martin Krouse, was born in Germany and his mother, Caroline Feigh, in New Jersey. Moved to Wayne county in 1869 where he secured his education in the rural schools. Has held various political offices, having served as a member of the board of supervisors for six years and as township trustee for four years. He follows the occupation of farming. He is a director of the Farmers and Merchants State Bank and president of the Wayne county agricultural society. Was married December 31, 1890 to Ida A. Kah and has five children, one daughter and four sons. Elected representative in 1916. A democrat in politics.
