At the age of twenty-three he moved to Iowa and for forty years has been a successful farmer. Has accumulated a large amount of Iowa land and other property. Married Miss Mary Adelaide Pierson in 1876. They have five children. Elected representative in 1912. Re-elected in 1914. A republican in politics.
