Keokuk County
Representative from Keokuk county, was born in southeastern Pennsylvania, November 30, 1870. When he was thirteen years of age he moved with his parents to Iowa. His real education began in Central University, Pella, where he took a three year academic course. Later he took a three year course in the Keokuk Medical College, where he graduated in 1897. Practiced four years in Happer, and then moved to Keota, his present home. Married Miss Laura L. Bryson and to them were born four daughters. Less than three years ago he abandoned the practice of medicine, owing to ill health, and has devoted his time to real estate since. Elected representative in 1912. A democrat in politics.
