Representative from Monona county, was born in Elgin, Fayette county, Iowa, November 8, 1878, of American parentage. In 1888 he moved with his parents to Whiting, Monona county, where he has since resided. After finishing high school and commercial college, he engaged in the grain and real estate business with his father. Since the death of his father in 1908 he has conducted the same business. Was city councilman five years and chairman of the library board. Is a Knight of Pythias, a member of the Scottish Rite Consistory, Shrine at Sioux City, Iowa, and an Odd Fellow. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics.
