Representative from Marion County, he was born near Port Royal, in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, March 16, 1844. He came with his parents to Cedar county, Iowa, in 1857 and to Marion county in 1859. His early education was received in the public schools of his native state and after reaching manhood in the Central University of Pella, Iowa. Mr. Crozier commenced the study of law with the firm of Atherton and Anderson of Knoxville, Iowa, in 1870, and commenced the practice of his profession in Knoxville in the spring of 1872. He was elected mayor of the city of Knoxville in the years 1873-1875 and 1876. He served one term as judge of the circuit court and four terms as county attorney. Mr. Crozier served one year as a private in Company A, Seventh Iowa Cavalry, in the war of the rebellion. He was elected representative in the Iowa Legislature in 1908, and re-elected in 1912 and 1916. He was a democrat in politics.
