Representative from Adair county, was born in Muscatine county, Iowa, February 22, 1862. His parents were born in New Jersey and came to Iowa in 1850, settling on a farm in Muscatine county where they lived for fifty-seven years. Mr. Van Camp was educated in the public schools and at Wilton Academy. Was married in 1887 and has three children. Moved to Adair county in 1887 and engaged in farming. Has held several township offices and served as county treasurer of Adair county for five years. Now lives in Greenfield, where he is engaged in the grain and coal business; also still manages his farm. Elected Representative in 1910. A Republican in politics.
