Representative from Lyon county, was born in Norway, in 1855. He attended the high schools of Norway, and is a graduate of the School of Astronomy of that country. In 1880, he came to Chicago, Illinois, and in 1882 to Rock Rapids, Iowa, where he engaged in mercantile business. Served two terms as mayor of Rock Rapids; also two terms as member of the school board, and was treasurer of Lyon county four years. Elected Representative in 1910. A Democrat in politics.
