Representative from Tama county, was born in Armstrong county, Pennsylvania, July 29, 1869, of American-born parents. Educated in the common schools Olivet Academy and the State Normal School at Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Moved to Traer, Iowa, in 1891, and has since engaged in farming. He is married and has three sons and three daughters. Elected Representative in 1910. A Democrat in politics.
