Representative from Crawford county, was born at Rockford, Winnebago county, Illinois, August 27, 1859, of Irish parents. Moved to Clinton county, Iowa, in 1865, then to Cedar county, from there he moved to Jones county and in 1880 to Crawford county. He is engaged in farming and the raising of fine stock. He received his education in the rural schools of Iowa. Was married to Miss Mary C. Regan, January 31, 1883, and to them have been born eight children of whom seven are living. He has held numerous township offices. Elected Representative in 1910. A Democrat in politics.
