Representative from Wapello county, was born at Belle Plaine, Kansas, September14, 1879, of American parents. Removed about two years afterward to Iowa, from which State his parents had moved to Kansas. Common school education obtained at Batavia, Iowa. Admitted to the Iowa bar May 14, 1901, practiced a few months at Williamsburg, Iowa, located at Eldon October, 1901. Appointed city solicitor for Eldon April 10, 1904; again April 10, 1905, and was elected to same position March 27, 1906. Elected Representative in 1906. A Democrat in politics.
