Representative from Lee county. Born in Davenport, Iowa, the youngest of six children born to Rev. James Dinsmore Mason, an Iowa pioneer Presbyterian minister, and his wife, Anna Lyon Blaine, native Pennsylvanians. Attended the Davenport public schools until 1871, when he removed to Fort Madison, Lee county, there learning the printer's trade, in which he has since been engaged. Held the office of ward alderman in Fort Madison from 1888 to 1892. Married and has four children. Elected Representative in 1906. A Republican in politics.
