Born March 13, 1840, in Brewster Putnam county, New York. Mr. Brush along with his brother, Avery, established the Osage National Bank and were firmly ensconced in many of the towns most influential positions. Jesse Brush served as state representative from 1875-1877, representing Mitchell county in the 16th General Assembly. He was a charter member of the Osage Library Association, treasurer of the Osage School Board, city treasurer and treasurer of the Board of Trade.
