Farmer. Born in Scotland in 1827 and immigrated to this country in August, 1841. He married Miss Mary Dougan in February, 1858. He has held the following offices: President of the Board of School Directors, Justice of the Peace, member of the County Board of Supervisors, Bridge Commissioner, and Representative in the Sixteenth General Assembly, and re-elected to the Seventeenth. He was a Republican.
