Born April 14, 1835, in Prussia, Germany. He came to America in 1847 and settled in Jackson County where he bought and farmed 490 acres. He married Miss Mary Ambrosy February 7, 1854, in St. Donatus. Mr. Tritz was elected to represent Jackson county in the Twelfth General Assembly, 1868. He attended the Catholic Church.
