Galen F. Kilburn
Adair County
A native of New Hampshire, and came to Fontanelle from Des Moines, in the summer of 1858. He was an attorney, and entering on the practice of his profession, soon gained a considerable patronage. His principal business was in the collection of debts, and in real-estate transactions. He was a sociable gentleman and a most excellent citizen. He was married to Jennie Mather, a daughter of the Rev. Mr. Mather. He served the county of Adair for two years in the treasurer's office. He was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives in the 12th general assembly.
