MATHUSELAH C. DAVIS Born in June, 1798. He was for several years known as the proprietor of the Pennsylvania House before its destruction by fire. He has since resided on a farm and enjoys the quiet pursuits of agricultural life. Mr. Davis was familiar to political life in Scott County and was early identified in the interests of the People's Party in '67. He was nominated on the 28th of August in that year as one of its Representatives to the General Assembly serving faithfully the interest of his constituents for the term of two years.
