Born in 1829 in Springfield, Ohio. Mr. Andrews married Rebecca J. Taylor in 1856. He came to Decatur County in 1857. He served in the Tenth Iowa General Assembly, 1864. He enlisted in war for Union and was promoted from 1st Lieut. to Captain in 1878.
