Van Buren County
Born in Scott County, Kentucky, in 1827. In 1843, he removed to Van Buren county, Iowa, and shortly afterward was elected to represent Van Buren County in the Seventh Territorial Legislature, and again elected to the First Iowa General Assembly, 1846. He was married to Hetty Ann Montague. For several years he acted as justice of the peace of Van Buren County.
