Born in Sullivan County, Indiana, July 20, 1832. When 20 years old he came to Wapello County, residing in Highland Center. Mr. Davis married Miss Rhoda Stephens September 23, 1858, and had three children. Mr. Davis represented Wapello and Monroe Counties in the First Iowa General Assembly, 1846. He was a Democrat.
