Representative from Mahaska county, was born near Rose Hill, Iowa, May 25, 1861, of American parentage. His education was acquired in the rural schools. In 1884 he engaged in the masonry trade and in 1901 entered the hardware and furniture business. Married in 1889 to Miss Winifred Everitt. Elected representative in 1912. A democrat in politics.
