Born August 12, 1820 in Washington County, Ohio, and died July 30, 1913 in Monterey County, California. His parents were Charles and Hester (Stull) Allison. The father, of Scotch-Irish descent, was a soldier in the War of 1812; the mother, of German decent, was born in 1794, in New York State. They had eight children He married Sarah Jane Clark on December 26, 1848 in Red Rock, Marion, Iowa. She was born August 27, 1832 in Ohio, and died July 14, 1907. Napoleon Allison and Sarah Clark had children. In 1860 Napoleon Allison moved to California and resided at Pajarito, Santa Cruz County.
