Born in 1815 in Oneida County, New York. In 1850 Horace and his daughter lived in Clark County, Missouri, where he was a contractor for public works. In 1854 he represented Lee County for the Fifth General Assembly and listed his occupation as a millwright. However, he moved from the county and didn’t serve in the special session for the Fifth General Assembly. In 1859 he lived in Janesville, Wisconsin, and was working with partners to operate a flour mill. He married Rebecca Ann Towle Anderson in Lenawee County, Michigan, in 1868. The family moved to Rock County, Wisconsin, where he was in partnership in a manufacturing company producing reapers and threshing machines. He died October 5, 1874, in Rock County, Wisconsin.
