Born in Massachusetts on November 9, 1813, to Thomas Damon and Abigail Lincoln. William married Margaret Foggy January 14, 1843. They had 2 children. William Damon, Denmark, Lee county; Mr. Damon represented the 19th District, in the 5th General Assembly (1854-1856). He passed away on June 8, 1856 in Pleasant Ridge, Iowa after being kicked by a horse.
