Born in 1810 in Virginia. Mr. Wilkinson was a farmer in Bloomington Township. His wife Mary was born in 1825 in Pennsylvania. He had been a member of the Greybeard Regiment, but was discharged before the disbanding of the regiment on account of ill health. Mr. Wilkinson was a good citizen, quiet, and unobtrusive, but firm and resolute in whatever he undertook. He represented this county in the state Senate and had filled other offices of honor and trust with acceptability to the public.
