Born in Missouri February 16, 1809. He came to Dubuque County in 1833 where he made a fine farm of 200 acres. Mr. Moore was a member of the Democratic Party. He served in the State Legislature, 1854-57, and held other public offices. His first wife was Nancy Brady, the marriage taking place March 26, 1837.
