Born June 12, 1821 in Ohio, and died December 28, 1897 in Bates County, Missouri. He married Amelia Jane Clark, born about 1822 in Indiana. He was a private in Company K, Regiment 17 in the Civil War. He enlisted December 14, 1861 and out March 20, 1864. He was captured at Tilton, Georgia and was a prisoner at Andersonville during the Civil War. Mr. Buck represented Lee County in the Eleventh Iowa General Assembly.
