Born in Greene County, Ohio, February 14, 1814. He came to Sangamon County, Illinois, in 1818, then went to Hancock County and lived three years. He came to Des Moines County in 1835. Mr. Lamme married Miss Hester Elliott August 27, 1838. He was elected to the Legislature in 1874, and was among the first settlers of Union Township, where he entered 320 acres of land. He has always been a Republican.
