Mail agent, born in Ohio November 24, 1842. He came to Iowa in the spring of 1867, settled on a homestead in Plymouth County. He was elected to the legislature in the fall of 1873, representing the counties of Woodbury, Plymouth, Sioux and Lyon. He was re-elected in the fall of 1875. He removed to Portlandville, New York in 1877, taking charge of the public schools. He was appointed mail agent June 1879, on the C. M. & St. P. Married Isabella J. Sheets on October 1868.
