A well-known Des Moines county farmer, residing in Franklin Township. Mr. Kline was one of the best farmers in the county and one of the progressive men of the section in which he lived. He took an active interest in politics and was a representative from this district in the 22nd state legislature. Since retiring from the political field, he had lived a retired life, devoting time to farming.
