Attended Emmetsburg Community College, Emmetsburg, and Wayne State Teachers College, Wayne, Nebr. Married Donna Hughes of Mallard 1964. Two children: Nancy and Scott. Partner in Hughes, Brennan & Wirtz Insurance & Real Estate in Emmetsburg. Charter member Emmetsburg Kiwanis Club, past director Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce, member Life Underwriters, Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa, Mutual Agents of Iowa.
