Attended University of Iowa, Drake University. Married Ruth Napier of Minneapolis, Minn., 1948. Two daughters; one son. Internal Revenue agent 1946 to 1952. Secretary-treasurer Iowa Midland Supply, Cedar Rapids, 1952 to present. Vice-president and director, Farmers Savings Bank, Walford. Treasurer- director Strawberry Valley Development Company, Ash Flat, Ark. Army service four years active, 18 years reserve duty. Retired major. Past president Thursday Noon Optimist Club, six years member Board of Adjustment, American Legion, Elks Club, El Kahir Shrine, Past senior warden and treasurer St. Michael's Episcopal Church. Member Football Writers of America, writing sports feature for Cedar Rapids Gazette. First term.
