Member and past County Chairman Iowa Federation of Women's Clubs; past grand officer and past district instructor Order of Eastern Star. Member Sioux City Gospel Mission Auxiliary and United Methodist Church. Past president W.S.C.S. On board of directors of Woodbury County Red Cross. Served one year on Woodbury County grand jury. Married Walton Sargisson. Two daughters: Mrs. Orval Nielson, and Mrs. Roger Jorstad; a son, Payne George; and another son, William Cornish Beck II, reared from childhood.
