Representative from Tama county, was born in Perry township, Tama county, Iowa, September 17, 1865, of Scotch parentage. He has continued to live in the same vicinity since. Was educated in the country school and the Iowa Agricultural College. Was married September 14, 1905, to Miss Anna Stevenson. Was brought up a Presbyterian and belongs to that church. Has been a farmer and a breeder of short-horn cattle and Clydesdale horses for the last twenty-five years. Elected Representative in 1906, and re-elected in 1908. A Republican in politics.
